Gabriel Macotela (1954)
Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He attended the nororious art school La Esmeralda and also the Academia San Carlos at the workshop of Gilberto Aceves Navarro. His work has been held to high acclaim in exhibitions in Mexico, France, Cuba, Brazil, Argentina, Ecuador and the US since his first exhibition at the Casa del Lago in Mexico City (1976).
