Dr. Lakra (1972)

Born Jeronimo Lopez Ramirez in 1972. He is a known tattoo artists who has jumped into the mainstream of contemporary art with his tattooed creations. Son of Oaxacan Master Francisco Toledo and the anthropologist and poet Elisa Ramirez Castañeda. Brother to poet Natalia Toledo and artist Laureana Toledo.
He learned the art of tattoo in 1990 and later on, left it to begin his professional art career in painting, illustration and installation. He is known for being the first tattoo artist who has gained international recognition in the art world. His work has been exhibited numerous times in Mexico City, Monterrey, New York, Chicago and London.
